The last days at college ...

........emotions .......memories ......sentiments .........friends ........end ........... new beginnings........

If you google inside your heart about the days when your graduation was just weeks away, these are the words you will find prominently everywhere.It is the most bizarre moment of your life. There are things that are gonna end for ever, lot of things that are being left behind but at the same time you are heading into a new phase of life, to a bright future and towards your goals. To be happy or to be sad ?? ... a difficult question and probably no answer.
I feel this is the most memorable feeling that you might remember throughout your life.This time comes with a flashback of all your memories... You tend to remember your old friends, your school and schoolmates, your childhood friends, and most of all your recent college friends and activities, right from the day you entered the college. The way you made friends, the way your relationships with people changed and the way you ended up spending 4 or 5 years of your life with these bunch of people hanging around you. Your friend circle feels like a family and you remember every moment with them....... Your little fights, your trips and outings, your long 'panchayat' sessions, college politics, your studies together (...if you ever did that :D) and many more.

All these moments, though sounds very normal, becomes more than pleasing for you to remember them again and again. Suddenly the term 'friendship' starts shaping into a definition by itself and start looking more important than ever before. During these times you tend to clear out all the misunderstandings and mend all relations that went bad; forgive and forget becomes your policy (...maybe not for all cases ;) ). It feels good to know that people you think wouldn't have cared about what you do, also tend to care about you and think good about you. A friendly invitation sometimes form one of your so called enemy to clear out differences or a discussion with someone to clarify his doubts about your actions; these all seems justified and good. A close friend sometimes disappoint you by not being there with you, or some idiots who really don't matter to you, try to show their disappointment towards you; but who cares...
This is the time when you don't want to leave the time behind and move on but you want to stick to it and relive the old moments. An old picture, a video, an old dialogue, everything feels so emotional and pleasing that even a frigid person turns sentimental. All the minor differences look small and irrelevant; and the willingness to relive the past takes over all of your feelings.
That is the beauty of friendship and the last days with them......and the end to this post with poor humor ( PJ) I give a grand salute to all my 'friends' and their 'ships' that will never sink because this is FRIEND-SHIP :-)

The Myth of 'genuine' friends

A discussion with one of my old friend made me write this down here...

 Genuine friend or true friend or whatever you may call it as.....is an hypothetical concept.One can either be a friend or be genuine and being both at the same time is both dangerous and fatal for your friendship.

The problems lies deep in the roots of beginning of friendship; which in general is due to people having same thinking or mutual appreciation or compatibility or...blah blah!! whatever. But if u are genuine then you are not a good friend and if you are a good friend then you should not be genuine. People love appreciation and praise even if they know its not genuine and as soon as its some true stuff on the darker side, that they might know is true, they start to dislike you because you finally said it.

You must have seen, people seldom ask genuine opinion about themselves to their friends; even you might have. Aaagrhh !!! and there they go....another friendship on fire...
"You say bad buddy and I will definitely pay you back" !!! ...the latter part was more relevant for girls.
For girls this is another level of problem...each one of them is in search of a 'genuine friend'...how is it gonna happen ? Its a run towards infinity.
You can not be or rather should not even try to be a genuine friend. Because its more dangerous in their case; if you are genuine they will not take is as a friend and later, when you are friends again (she will make sure you are..) she will make sure to nicely pay you back. :)
At least guys dont do that much ...unless they are drunk, which excites their 'payback policies' !!! :P

So if you have a genuine friend and he is still a good friend then you are lucky to have such rare species of humans ... :)
